National public radio today reports that many people are about to lose Medicaid on April 1 once CARES act protections (that prevented states from people being kicked off from Medicaid about to expire).
Going forward, after April 1, people will have to prove they are still eligible for Medicaid, and many have fallen out of his practice. It can be a daunting process.
This is just one more example of the kind of financial stress that people soon face as care act protections end.
Another giant shoe to drop will be the end of student loan payment deferral. That ends in August or early September, depending on when the Supreme Court rules on Biden’s student loan forgiveness program.
